abc7 news it is likely that misdemeanor domestic violence charges will be file. carolyn tyler, abc7 news. >>> highway 85 at san jose back open after a bomb scare shutdown a section of the freeway for 4 1/2 hours. the bomb squad blew up two potential explosive on the highway after 3:00 this afternoon. it started before noon when two bank robbery suspects crashed trying to escape from police. officers say the men robbed the bank of america on snell avenue in san safe. the situation escalated because of a device used in the robbery. >> one suspect waited outside the second entered the bank with a device. we are not seeing information on what the device looked like. the threat was it was going to blow up or be detonated. the bank staff did what they are trained to do they gave the suspects money. the suspects fled. >> one of the men with was arrested at the scene of the crash. the second nearby at a high school which was on lock done for an hour today. >>> if you haven't seen the pictures, -- traffic on highway 85 was at a standstill. our new waze traffic app shows things are moving no

into an argument with another man in the restaurant. carolyn tyler has the story. >> reporter: for years this jack-in-the-box has been open 24/. >> you are kind of hungry you can go to jack-in-the-box. >> some neighbors in the surrounding residential area say this fast food restaurant is a magnet for drunks and troublemakers, especially after the bars close at 2 am. >> we need to close that jack-in-the-box between 2 am and 4 am to make sure that the neighbors have a chance for peace and quiet at night. >> reporter: david lee has started an online petition to have the restaurant's hours restricted. more than 400 people signed in just two days. many point to what happened early thanksgiving morning when according to police a fight inside the jack-in-the-box escalated into an intentional hit-and-run at the gas station down the street. offduty state firefighter albert martol remains in critical condition. that is when city hall learned the restaurant was operating around the clock without the proper permit and critics are now seizing the opportunity to try to close it for two hours overnight. >>> that

. good morning, everyone. thanks nor joining us, i'm carolyn tyler. at least six occupy oakland protestors face charges this morning, including vandalism assaulting police officers and possessing explosives after an anti-police march last night. starting around 8:00 they marched from the plaza. they snaked through downtown. they claim they have been harassed at occupy oakland events in recent weeks. some marchers broke patrol windows, vandalized news advance and someone also lit a fire near 8th and washington street. they uncovered an explosive equal to a quarter stick of dynamite. some occupy oakland protestors are condemning the actions of others saying the majority do not condone that violence. and occupy san jose they will march today from city hall to the santa clara county courthouse starting at noon. this event coincides with the court case held 126 years ago known as santa clara county versus southern pacific railroad. this 1886 case stemmed from the railroad's refusal to pay taxes. it was a dispute over ch

was published "disrupting the balance of power." carolyn barta is the author. she is joining us from her home in texas. you knew ross perot as a journalist before many people met hi. can you tell us about his roots in texarkana and what shaped the man we knew of a national stage? >> perot was from texarkana. he had an average texas childhood. as a boy he broke horses and traded horses. he was an eagle scout. even in later tonight i think he kept all of the traits of the eagle scout. he would set of objectives and goals and try to pursue those goals. he was very much in the texas tradition of the day. as he grew and went to the naval academy and started his own businesses, he was representing the can-do spirit of texas. his vision was a big, the state was big, there were powerless opportunities. the sky was the limit. he really sort of played into what was the texas mythology with texas politicians who were larger than life, very successful businessman who made a fortune here. they were risk takers, they were not afraid to fail. that was the sort of spirit he had at that i think got him into t
